Hello and welcome to my site! Thank you for taking the time to view my work. I design prints for women’s wear, blending my unique point of view with current trends.
My inspiration comes from both the fashion world and my life experiences. A new design might start with trend research or something I encounter on a walk—whether it’s a photo I take, a pressed flower, or a sketch of patterns I observe in nature. These elements are then cropped, colored, exposed, or layered through digital manipulation. I often combine hand painting with digital media, which creates a distinctive texture and feel beyond pure digital design.
The places I’ve lived have deeply shaped my work. Growing up in Hawaii, the tropics have always held a special place in my heart and influence my designs. My years in northern cities like Chicago, New York, and Pittsburgh introduced me to seasonal climates, offering a different palette of inspiration. Now living in Portland, Oregon, I’m near the Pacific Ocean again, although the coastline here feels quite different from the one I knew in Hawaii.
I began my career studying fine arts and textile design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Over the past 17 years, I’ve designed prints for women’s wear, accessories, and children’s wear, working both in-house and as a freelancer.
